"The Monsters Came From The Sky" is the synthwave twin of "The Cannibal Tribe Came From The Sea".

I mean, I liked the first minutes but it got old really quick.
As is common on regular synthwave. Sry.

Other than metal, synthwave is another genre of music that I absolutely love, so I was excited to hear about this album. In terms of synthwave though, this is just, meh.

I like it, but mainly because I generally like synthwave; not sure it really does anything beyond being synthwave 101, outside of Enter Disco Inferno

Hard pass, this kind of thing sounds extremely overdone to me. Like I've heard it all before. I hope this remains a one-off.

What are you guys talking about? I think this one is pretty solid. I'm a huge fan of this band, but i thought this record was gonna suck... boy, i was wrong. The new songs are great, and the versions of "Against the Curse, We Dream", "The Cannibal Tribe Came from the Sea", "I Mean You Harm", "Alien Lip Reading" and "Mountain of Horror" are awesome. Another win for this guys in my book.

"Enter Disco Inferno" is damn catchy song. I can admire them for doing something completely different.

I thoroughly enjoy this album. Imo Hail Spirit Noir can do no wrong and they can't write a bad song. The mix between new songs and synthwave versions of older ones is flawless.

I like it too, especially the few songs with vocals. It's a fun, cheeky album that serves as great background music when I'm working.

I thought it was fun, but I don't see myself listening to this regularly since I'm not really a fan of the genre.

This is OK, but since it's more solid synthwave I'm not judging it really by HSN's own standards as much as by the standards of synthwave itself. And by that, it's pretty average. Agree with Zap that I'm hoping this is more of a special thing and they go back to their own sound on the next release.
