Bad English

In some way band more focus on writing concept about Emperor Nero and story what happened that time in eternal city and its empire, as music. I hear many genres mixed in one, musically its not best for me, but lyrics, concept about album, rare cases I give 10.

This sounds like a mess.
P.S. Sorry, but I had to google Brittney Slayes, I initially thought it was some kind of metal joke. But after listening to track #4, putting her name on the title wasn't a good idea after all. It sound Iike she was sent a mixtape to a different album.

Well, the album had definitely got me up and interested about the roman empire. Musically the symphonic elements are subdued but as a concept album it ris quite cool. The 1st and the 3rd tracks are really good. Different but good. Now I am off to Netflix to check out the Roman Empire.

Dagenais and Barbe must be bored out of their skulls conning Napalm and Nuclear Blast into supplying an endless money stream for the same material over and over again.

Candy from record label babies.

Well, after many listens now I only have positive feelings about this alubm, it has become my favourite Ex Deo album, by far. Also better than the last 3 Kataklysm for that matter in my opinion.

The criticism I understand the least is the lack of diversity. I find myself jumping form one great riff to another, the drumming keeps grabbing my attention, in a good way, Brittney Slayes brings a wonderful addition to that album (but I love Unleash the Archers so I'm biased). Also the production is fantastic on this one. I've often been disappointed on recent albums where the symphonic layers are put to much in the front and I can't hear the guitars work anymore .. (the last Aephanemer or 1914 come to mind here). But here the balance is perfect, the symphonic elements complement the guitar riffs rather than hidding them.

Overall amazing album that I keep coming back to, and might even bump to a 9 eventually.

Dude, Unleash the Archers' last two albums slay (sorry), unless of course you're lactose intolerant.
