When I checked out Terror Cósmico’s Miasma, I saw it classified as stoner metal, which seemed a bit at odds with the freaky artwork and ‘cosmic horror’ band name. As it turns out, there’s stoner metal here, but also sludge, doom, post-metal, death and even a bit of black metal; that’s not the easiest clash of sounds to envisage, but Terror Cósmico pull it off. As their bandcamp page puts it: "Miasma is made up of 8 tracks which deliver a great range of emotions, going through desperation, anguish and desolation mixed with an air of nostalgic mystery." And indeed this album is a great instrumental trip! If you're looking for a groovy and eerie mix of sludge, doom, stoner and post metal elements, this is the good stuff!  Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to check out the rest of this Mexican duo's discography ...
