Considering the difficulties of hearing sound in space, one might wonder whether The Signal Heard Throughout Space is an ambient album; instead, it’s the latest record to send the prog fansphere into raptures.

A Real Monkey

Forgot all about these guys. I’ll have to relisten to the previous album.

High Fist Prog
The first 75% of this album of pure prog metal (we should probably change the tag), almost zero extreme elements. I need a bit of time to get adjusted to this drastic shift, but it's definitely enjoyable. I really do wish they stuck to the mix of prog and extreme elements like the last album...they were onto something there.

Metal Addiction

Like LeKiwi pointed out in his comment, Parius have gotten rid of the extreme elements shown in their previous release. Over 2/3 of this album is covered in pure-prog elements. This album has some bombastic and heavenly moments, especially in the ending track. These moments sound like the musical synthesis between BTBAM and Haken. I know that many metal fans would disagree with me, but I think that the overall quality of this album is better than their previous effort.
