It's so sad how negative people are about acoustic albums.

The last one was pretty good, and I'm looking forward to a few of these.

With that said, with Talviyo being the giant miss that it was, it's been awhile since we've had some really good NEW music from these guys (which IMO was The Ninth Hour).

Volume One had some pretty unique arrangements, and a handful of tracks were actually as enjoyable or more enjoyable than their originals.

Volume Two, however... I think just about every track on here is weaker than the original. Even the tracks that I was really looking forward to (e.g. Broken) fell very short of my expectations.

Overall, still a nice listen for the right mood, but I expected more.

After a lot of listens I think this one is better than volume one just because the track list is very strong (I like reckoning night and winterheart's guild far more than Unia and the new material that they used in the last album).

I also am hopeful for the next full release, because Tony sang this with more passion and the band overall feels less lazy and more willing to do good metal again. Am I too positive? Perhaps.
