So this band profile is only a few hours old and the debut album was released just a few days ago, but it already has more votes than many albums that have been on the database for over 10 years...

I'm also surprised, but yeah it is really good! It's like a perfect mix of Black Sabbath, Candlemass, Saint Vitus, etc - exceptional vocalist, great catchy riffing, occult lyrics - sweet sweet traditional doom

Killer record, awful band name.

This is exceptionally good! I have really missed hearing some new quality traditional doom and this ticks all the boxes for me. Debut of the year? Hell, could even be album of the year! Haven't heard anything better so far and we are in late August already.

I will definitely give this a chance as soon as i can.

This is a great debut and a band with huge potential amongst traditional doom and early heavy metal fans, if they carry on down this root anyway. The soft vocals and songwriting style kind of remind me of Manilla Road in a way, but the guitar tone has that incredible fuzzy stoner sound, much like Kyuss, High On Fire and all those traditional stoner bands had. So it has the perfect blend of early doom and stoner imo.

I second that. Can't wait to read Nik's review! I absolutely loved this on my first listen. There isn't a weak moment in sight, pure quality from beginning to end and it arguably finishes even stronger than it starts. "Oh damnation!!!"

This is truly brilliant. I guess everything you've ever liked about retro heavy / doom is in here. First I hear current retro bands like Witchcraft or Wytch Hazel. Then Black Sabbath followed by Iron Maiden in track 3. Then Candlemass in track 4. Without every feeling like an imitation.

When I see the rating of this album, I expected something Black Sabbath quality but after the listen, just disappointed. The riffs are just generic and not interesting. The tone of the instruments are adjusted so that the old school sound is obtained but there is nothing more than that.

I have no idea what's the fuss about. Only the first two songs are kinda catchy. The rest dies out in utter mediocrity. I fell asleep midway. This is not album of the year material.

I don't think it's bad but I don't think it's that special. The production is a little lackluster and makes the album feel a little amateur.

"Last Rites" is a great song.

Very traditional, very old school. Sometimes you just need a good doom album. Love the riffs on last rites.

More like phsychedrlic rock. Another version of Black Sarbath. Did not feel like it deserves this rating. 'Curse the light' was a good one.

This is a band that will probably be very good in an album or two.
