Fvnerals have built their burgeoning reputation in evoking the kind of subtle gloominess that is fitting of a funeral. Curious, then, that their plea to Let The Earth Be Silent sees that gloominess solidify into something louder and heavier; however, it’s a direction that hugely pays off for them.

Great album once again. Way heavier this time around compared to previous releases. Some parts really remind me Monarch which I don't mind.

Yeah the increased heaviness was something that stood out to me when I was listening to it; aspects of it reminded me a bit of Schammasch's The Maldoror Chants EP in terms of being metal-oriented dark ambient. Not that I didn't like what they did before (The Path is a great little EP), but there's an extra depth to this record and maturity to the writing I feel compared with Wounds, and it's taken them to another level IMO

A Nice Guy
This is an outstanding record! Such a dark, eerie and mysterious atmospheric energy, it suffocates you and haunts you to the point that you want to escape from it but you simply can't, then it crushes your very soul!

I highly recommend listening to this on your own in a dark setting.

It's good, I'll give it that... as of now it's a little overrated, but it wasn't my thing to begin with

Eerie indeed. It's intriguing but unfortunately I found it hard to stay interested. The atmosphere is maybe at its best in Yearning but as whole album it needed something more.
