Pretty snazzy 'not quite death, not quite black, not quite blackened death' extreme album that takes good elements from both worlds

Great album this, it has such a great rhythm and tempo, and solid structure, with some solid grooves and melodies, a great combination of harsh and aggressive shrieks and growls, and such a quality dramatic sound. I agree with the above comment, it's bang in the middle of black and death but not quite blackened death if that makes sense

Can't argue with this!

This somehow reminded me of Nordjevel but it's better. I like how the sound variates from calmer bits to more aggressive parts. I also like the Elegy song the best. It has some nice variety from melancholy to great rhythm and tempo. Album cover art is mysterious and I like it too.

I agree with every commenter above, this album definitely has a lot going for it in terms of dynamics and songwriting. Great job!
Every track has something to offer, but I would like to highlight the main riff of 'Mockery Theatre' - the tastiest, grooviest beast of a riff that I wasn't expecting to find on a record like this. And the way it chooses to suddenly slide into a full-on black metal assault is just breathtaking

For me the opening song was the best. While not at all compromising with heaviness this album has a slow tempo to it which is quite inexplicable. Whatever it is, the end product is surprisingly consumable is voracious quantities
