Nanowar Of Steel have had my ears on speed dial for the last five years now, ever since Stairway To Valhalla proved that it is possible to make fun of Manowar while simultaneously making fun of Manowar. I love Nanowar, but I love Dimmu more. I'm not sure if I appreciate them making fun of my no. 1 band.

Now I have the album it's a bit disappointing. It's technically/musically not bad, I just didn't have any 'wow' moments, and I probably forget it in a couple of days. It's not like I want to play it all the time. Apart from the first 3 tracks (even though they may appeal to some people), I don't have that feeling.

I remember I used to hate their first appearances made under the name of "Nanowar". I still think their early efforts were worse than what they're capable of now, but I also suspect my former fanboyism has a lot to do with my rejection of the idea, that some is daring to make fun of my favorite bands. I think the low rating of this album is also affected by this. Or maybe most metalheads are just boring grumpy people not worth hanging around with. Unlike Rhapsody, who descent into medicrity after adding "of Fire" into their name, "Nanowar Of Steel" evolved into brilliant, funny, skilled and incredibly versatille band and rose among my most favorite musical acts. This new album once again brings a lot great guilty-pleasure moments. The best and standing above others is "Chupacabra Cadabra".
