Is that a legit genre looks like i want listen to this

It's a pretty cool album, bit of a one trick pony but that's probably to be expected with a title like that.

No no no no no. Ugh. What a half-assed attempt at combining the two genres. Awful mixing and terrible song writing. Feels like someone told them to write a western black metal album in 2 hours. Even the song titles and album cover are lazy.

Western and black metal definitely can work together, but it needs a little bit more nuance and a lot more effort than this.

Bruh, this genre is growing the last years. There are a lot of bands already. Like Untamed Land, Dark Watcher, Primeval Well, Stump Tail Dolly and so on...
I'd say this is more like Blood Cult tho, sort of a country black metal thing.

I think the mixing is intentional to make it sound more rugged, just like the old west. I agree with Netzach, it's a pretty cool album. They could've come up with a better album title though. Calling the album the style they play is just lazy.

Yeah I have to agree, I tried a couple of songs and I hated it; I know it's intended to be rawer than the other bands that have been doing similar (Wayfarer, Dark Watcher, Untamed Land), but I feel there must be better ways than this of trying to do a harsher Western black metal sound

The concept is fantastic, but the execution is sloppy and the songwriting is all over the place, which is strange considering the manifesto in the album title. Perhaps resources were limited and a sophomore effort might gel it all together better.

Genre defining albums... Back in the day, it was 'Satanic Pop Metal' and now, it is 'Spaghetti Western Black Metal'
