There are good moments here, but I really can't get past the vocals. If I wanted to listen to metalcore, it would be fine. But I don't. I want to listen to old, folky, epic Equilibrium.

Seems like a step in a productive direction compared to the previous songs. The balance of the instrument usage got a little better overall, its not blasting all at once all the time, metal, orchestra, synths... also the singer seems a bit more versatile and fitting to Rene's ideas, that's nice. At the same time, I don't see the reason to make him the only face of the band. That seems very modern/pop approach, unfitting the legacy of the band.
