High On Fire are one of those bands that play with such ferocity on their studio albums one cannot help but be curious as to what they sound like in a live environment (for those who have not seen them live in person). The result is a mix of some high-energy sludge metal, and occasionally a sonic mess that would be best left to the studio. This once elusive find, re-released in 2009 is a relatively early live recording, done shortly before the release of Blessed Black Wings, when the band's sound was far less refined and melodic.
