Carlos showing why he's still one of my favorite drummers. Neuromancer is nastyyyyy🤘 but the whole album is fantastic and wears the theme well.

This cover is a clear reference to The Jester Race by In Flames. It was obvious the first time I saw it. Same old style that still has its effect.

Also the last 2 tracks are the best, I had tons of fun listening to them.

Great spot dude - the melody at the start of Through A Glass Darkly and some of the guitar techniques throughout point perhaps to an In Flames heritage too.

Great record.
I was dying to hear some new music from them since Weapons Of Tommorow in 2020.
The first single "A Better World" gives me a big At The Gates vibe which I really like.
The second single "The Sword And The Cross" got me worried because I was looking for a resolution at the end of the song. Worries went away when I saw it goes right into "A Better World".
Great pacing throughout the record.

AOTY For me at the moment

Pretty solid modern thrash record but not quite as impressive as I thought I would've found it. The second half of the album is definitely stronger than the first half imo.

I think you're overthinking it. Both cover artworks were created by Andreas Marschall, so it's natural there’s a sense of familiarity. Beyond that, though, there’s no real or meaningful connection between the two albums.

This is really cool !! I think it resembles the Jester Race cover due to the artist's style but also the format and dimensions of the art.

Darn, I thought this was going to be really good, but it doesn't have a lot of energy until you get to the last two songs. I want to know what this would sound like with a bit more of a buzzsaw guitar tone like their debut.

Neuromancer is such a good song, I cracked open the book by William Gibson last night. This album is the perfect amalgamation of thrash and melodic death metal. Amazing record.

I have been listening to this album on repeat for the past two days! It’s so addictive!

I don’t find any weak moments to be honest, every song has something to keep me interested. Yes, some riffs are a bit basic but the production, the drums sound, the performances overall , they all make everything sound fresh and energetic!

And damn those guitar solos are so good

Warbringer are becoming one of the most consistent thrash bands around. They just release banger after banger after banger. These guys know what they’re doing.

Wow they've come a very long way since last record. This is some of the best thrash I've heard in the last decade or so. Near impeccable sense of rhythm and melody. Reminds me of Revocation quite a bit.

I didn't find this one very exciting at all. I saw them at the Dome in London a couple of years ago (mainly for Hellripper). I really enjoyed that set but this LP just drifted by. I couldn't remember a single riff, melody or solo from the whole thing. I also found the production really uninspiring. It reminded me of a modern Kreator record. Too clean and soulless.

I think we are on the same page here. IMO the record doesn't really have any bite.

Old Warbringer was cutting sharp since first slice of song, and lately they have been going epic and atmospheric discharging the intensity of what made us Warbringer fans. 2nd half is a hint of it. For all who wanted Warbringer to incorporate new direction must be embracing it with open arms.

It's still a good album, though. Neuromancer will have my lot of revisits in my playlist.
