After "At Races", the second single is streaming online.



The album is shaping up to be really great.

Just gave a listen to the two tracks that are available. If they keep this consistency throughout the whole album (plus those lovely post-punk touches) this could turn into their magnum opus.

That jazzy trumpet section in the middle of the track is out of this world... I love it.

Easy 9, this album is the best thing I’ve heard this year and it’s not really close. Every part is just sooooo good, and they’ve really tightened up their sound this time around so there’s not quite as many parts that overstay their welcome but they still have plenty of room for the songs to build and evolve and really give each member a chance to shine. First time in a while an album ended and I wish it just kept going. At the same time the shorter runtime means it’s pretty much all killer no filler.

Now if only they can bring a bit of that Middle Eastern vibe from Close and make it snuggle up to the post-punk and goth they have going on here, It would be legendary.

It's fine, enjoyable doom. I'm just not caught up in all the hype as everyone else. Personally, I prefer their fellow italians Ponte Del Diavolo.
Thicker Blood is a clear standout for me. Killer song and a perfect closer... and possibly the only song I'll keep coming back to.

Back-to-back perfect albums for me. It’s all subjective, of course. But there’s not a better band in modern doom by my tastes.

Good album, sometimes feels boring, maybe because i dont like gothic-things, but overall it's worth listening to.

I can't deny the fact this is a very strong release, their level of musicianship and creativity is simply off the charts, this isn't just simply another doom metal record, but I just don't quite find it as absorbing or memorable as their previous album. It seems to have all the ingredients of something I should really like but I'm just not quite feeling the final product as a whole like I did their previous. It's still a good listen though, and possible grower? So I might give it a further few more spins in the future.

Only good one here is "Thicker Blood"

Void Meridian and Thicker Blood are the standout tracks here for me. The rest of the album is good, just didn't really wow me as much as it did most others it seems. 7.5
