Yeah this thing rips. Drumming is some of the best I’ve heard all year and the guitar work is fantastic too. Overall I like this just a little more than Retromorphosis but both will be strong contenders for Death Metal AOTY

Brutal tech death with exactly the right amount of "atmo black" to heat up a cold dish - ordered and comming right up from the local "vinyl kitchen".

In a strange way the “looseness” of the instruments together reminds me of Blood Mountain era Mastodon if they went to Death Metal, the way its technical but also very free-flowing and easy to pick out the individual instruments.

Well blended black/death elements, nice dark vibe and great production. I like it.

Just listened. No bad but the problem is that I have heard this album a lot of times before since nineties.

This is my first time listening to this Polish Death Metal band, and based on MetalStorm labeling them as Death Metal, I was expecting a typical Death Metal band. However, not only did I encounter an awesome band, but I also heard traces of Blackened, Technical, Dissonant, and Progressive elements in their music. A combination of subgenres I'm really into.

I don't remember The Grand Scheme Of Things much except that I found it somehow boring. This on the other hand sounds really good. Will take more listens to fully absorb and give a final score.

I am somehow feeling a bit disappointed by this one. It is still very good, but not what I expected after the previous one.
First this one reminded me quite often of Behemoth's Demigod. That's not a bad thing in itself because Demigod is amazing, but it makes this album feel less unique than The Grand Scheme Of Things imo.
Second it has a more grandiose, and almost epic vibe at times, which comes at the cost of the menacing aspect that the previous album had. I didn't feel nearly as much tension, and discomfort listening to this one, and that is what dragged me back many times to the previous one I think.
And finally, I find the production to be almost "too clean" on this one. This also makes the whole atmosphere and soundscape less menacing in my opinion.
Overall this is a very good album, and I will definitely give it some more spins. But before writing this comment I went and played the previous one again to ensure my memories were not confused, and well.. Yeah I find it had way more personality. The soundscape and ambience felt more unique to me there.

This is a beast of an album which will likely be an AOTY contender for me, but it's also helped me appreciate their last one even more. I'm starting to grow into this disso/blackened/tech/ death style whereas a few years ago I'd only stick to the more accessible melodeath and OSDM.

It's... interesting. It reminds me of Mirage in terms of songwriting, but with a Mgła undertone to it. I saw someone calling these guys Panzerfaust of Death Metal, but yeah, I see more references to other BM bands. Which is fine, it's lovely, very high quality, highly enjoyable.

Ancient Death, Toughness and now this… We have a fantastic year for DM. And Poland has once again set the standards for the rest to follow

Easily a top contender for death metal of the year. Horse Eater alone is worthy of monumental praise.

Horse Eater is such a subtle and measured but still gorgeous Amon Amarth worship

Definitely deserves the top spot in my book. It's fast, chaotic and technical and I cannot get enough of it.
Polish DM wins again \m/

What makes it a death metal record? What are the criteria here? I'm not asking this to argue or whatever, I'm just genuinely confused about where to place it. It's not pure death. Not technical. Blackened - there's a lot of black in it but not sure if it's enough to call it that.
Is this how dissonant death sounds like?

Unfortunately for me I'm not a big fan of the vocals. There is definitely a LOT of Behemoth influence showcased here, especially in the drumming. Like, almost a bit too on the nose.

Good but a little too one-dimensional to be a 9 IMO.
