Starchild

One of the best NWOBHM albums. Maybe a little bit softer, but really melodic, enjoyable and amazing.

I actually bought this out of nowhere yesterday... I've seen that on the shelves at HMV.
And I saw the tag mentioning NWOBHM, I was like *hmm don't know this band, let's try it out*
I'm listening to it right now, not disappointing at all, I love it so far, but I'll make it spin
a few more times before I rate it. No matter, I'm really glad I found this.

EDIT: Well so I have listened to it a lot since and I think this is an excellent album. I love it!

New wave of British heavy rock. Not bad, but too cheesy for me.

I've changed my mind, it is a nice album. Guess I wasn't in a mood for that amount of catchiness.

Exceptionally good NWoBHM. This is actually the only PM album I regard as really good. Lots of good songs here, but IMO "Running For Tomorrow" is the only real classic here.

Metal Rasputin

One of the most overlooked and underrated melodic hard rock albums ever. Nearly every song here is worthy of a medal. Children of the Earth is one of the best songs I have ever heard in my life, Lovers To The Grave has insanely cool climax and so on...

Cheated has one interesting real life story behind it. The band was originally supposed to release some unknown little hard rock song called "I Surrender", but Richie Blackmore somehow cheated it for himself, so instead they made this song called Cheated, which even has a mention of colors of a rainbow turning blue. As far as I know, PM's version of the song has never been released even to this day.

You've got a lot of guts. Let's see what they look like!

Good album slightly soiled by that awful Kinks cover version.
