One of the best and catchiest prog metal albums. This one got it all.. excellent riffs, vocals with a lot of hooks and lyrics often leaning towards political criticism. "The Art Of Reason" is a huge 10-minute song that never gets old!

Freedom to be free... It is good, but also as predictable as that phrase.

I love this álbum, probably my favourite Threshold record. Great songs, vocals, and lyrics. The perfect álbum, and Andrew "Mac" Mcdermott at the top of his game at this point. Songs like "Mission Profile", "Ground Control", "Stop Dead", The Art of Reason", "Pressure" and "Flags and Footprints" are outstanding, but the whole record is amazing. And as I said, probably my favourite and the best they ever launched.

I don't understand how these guys do it, but they somehow manage to make prog metal that's technical, rocking, catchy and entertaining even if you're not that much into prog to begin with. Bands like Dream Theater should learn a thing or two from Threshold, not vice versa. These albums are always so much fun to come back to.
