Additional info
Maranatha is an Aramaic phrase occurring only once in the New Testament and also in the Didache which is part of the Apostolic Fathers collection. It is transliterated into Greek letters rather than translated, and is found at the end of Paul's First Epistle to the Corinthians (1 Cor 16:22) as a farewell.

"If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha."

The word 'Maranatha' translates to "O Lord, come!", however if separated into 'Maran atha', it becomes a credal declaration of "Our Lord has come."

Arioch played all instruments on this album except for the drums which were played by an unknown session drummer. The album was recorded in the Endarker Studio in 2008.

Biggest Mortuus fan listens to latest Funeral Mist album five years after its release. Brings shame to her family, commits seppuku.

Still some pretty sick songs, especially A New Light.

Turns out I love this as much as Salvation but for other reasons. While the former has a more orthodox and raw approach along with fantastic songwriting that makes it the more well-rounded album. This one offers more experimentation and takes some extra risks. Some would argue that the production is too clean but I truly feel this is for the better in order to appreciate the experimentation and more different vibe captured by this album. Arioch's vocal performance is even better here (and he was already a BEAST in the debut). He just sounds so furious and with insane fanatism. It's quite the picture.

Man, I fucking love this project. Slowly but surely becoming my favorite Swedish black metal project.

Why does the burping over the choir feel to me like a direct rebellious message to the latter as some interruption? I mean the song is called A New Light after all.

Blessed Curse is so fucking good and a perfect decision in pace contrasting the beaten stick that is Salvation, although its own longer drawn-out tracks are of this project at its highest peak.
