After huge success in Europe the band flew to USA to write and record a album to try to get into the american market. Up to this point Tony Clarkin had wrote all the songs for the albums, but here they brought in some songwriters to assist him (Russ Ballard was one of them).
So what's the result? Not that good even if it's no disaster. It's sounds and reminds me of the Vigilante album but it lacks the same spark in the songwriting. About half of the songs here are decent while the other half don't do it for me. That's a pretty huge downstep for a band who hasn't had that many filler tracks on the 7 albums before this one. The best song here by far is the mini-epic Born to Be King featuring classic Magnum melodies, and sadly that's the only song worth pointing out even if I like in some extent a handful more of the songs on the record.

There were two non-album tracks released on the singles from this album. The Hanging Tree and Where do you run to. Both should have been included on the full-length as they are both are better than pretty much all of the songs ending up on the album.
