I only listened to this one and it's not that metal. Not what I imagined under prog metal however, in all cases, I rate the album based on the music and to me this was just average listenable music.

I don't know why Arena are under progressive metal here.
I'm not surprised you did not like it. But this album is anything but average.
Average compare to what? What other neo-prog have you heard?

I would say it's more prog rock than metal. Not sure what falls under neo-prog but apart from the my prog metal favorites (most are listed in my favorite bands in my profile), I quite enjoy Porcupine Tree, Soen, Shadow Gallery (they slightly reminded me of them in some songs), can't remember what else at the moment as I listen to a lot of bands. I don't really mind that it's not that metaly and I listen to non-metal genres including pop. I just wasn't that impressed but I might have tied that to an expectation that it's prog metal (Symphony X, Adagio, Circus Maximus etc.). I will give this band another try in the future.
