Brutal Death metal/Deathcore Recorded: Jonathas Studios, Belgium 2009 Label: GSR Music Total Running Time: 37:11 For the readers with a short attention span: If you like blazing, unrefined death metal with a contemporary flair, no need to continue any further, this is something for you. For the genre purists: First you'll have to know this Belgian squad started out as a hardcore band before changing gears; traces of that legacy are still found in several places. So when I label Resistance as a deathcore band, note that this is a deathcore band that is not too big on the deathcore textbook approach. I also label them as deathcore because calling this death metal influenced hardcore with some deathcore tendencies would be totally gay. To wrap it up, unlike the numerous deathcore acts that deserve to be shot into a distant solar system we can't possibly imagine, this release is actually worth challenging the core attention span.
