Agreed. One of the best albums of 2010. Shame that it's not getting much recognition around this site.

Holy shit, I just discovered this. I haven't heard anything like this from a modern band in a while. They're filthy good, and I'd have thought they'd be all the rage in this day of retro worship. Forget Slough Feg, Ghost and The Sword, this is the coolest traditional heavy metal album (doomy as it is) released in 2010.

Ok, the songwriting could be a little more dynamic and outright better, and the album could be shorter. But I'm sure they'll get there. I love their style, and the power metal vocals sound pretty neat with this kind of darker music.

Somehow completely forgot about this band after the hype (seemingly so) that surrounded them just before the release of this. Listening to this now and it sounds quite nice, though the rougher sound of the The Pnakotic Demos suited the band a bit more I'd say.

agreed.

Initially I rated this a full point higher. But tbh it is a bit too slick and at times there is way too much Gayowar worship going on.

I'm surprised this band have passed me by for a long as they had, they're incredible. I've heard people comparing them to Manowar before now, but if I'm honest, I'd say these completely blow Manowar out of the water, they're in a whole other league imo.
