I have to agree with you mate, one of the best Brutal Death Metal albums I've heard in a long time, others need to listen and write some shit down because Katalepsy FUCKING DELIVERED \m/

I thought so too when I first started getting into BDM but now that I have really gotten into the genre and listened to a lot of different BDM bands I can say that that is not entirely true. BDM and deathcore can definitely be told apart by anyone who is actually familiar with the genres. They both employ breakdowns sure but the breakdowns are done way differently and with way different intentions.

Already one of my favorite albums in my collection. Best in Slam would be a great way to describe it. The mixture of brutal death and some major slams make this album a head-banging machine. Perfect sound, mixing, songwriting. I may have to do a review... I just f#$king love it.

One of the better releases of this "slam death" variant that's been hurling around lately.

Generally all good, but not varied enough to keep my interest.

It is one of the best death metal albums ever heard ... The album is very strong .... , ... Composers and musicians, this album has a very good quality ... Very good album was recorded in the studio ...

Pretty good album, love the raw energy. Could be a bit more memorable, but still a good album to come back to.

This is more like slam-influenced brutal death metal, it's not proper slam death. Their first album though is proper slam death.

Agreed. This is too technically driven and doesn't focus as much on the breakdowns like traditional slam death, although there is a notable slam influence here. In any case, this is a great brutal death metal album and a welcome change. Hopefully we don't have to wait half-a-decade between full-lengths.

There's no rule that states bdm can't be groovy. Theres a few of them out there, this, Dying Fetus and Big End Bolt, to name a few. And I'd highly recommend Big End Bolt, that's Igor's other slam-influenced bdm band, and also very good.

Dying Fetus is groovy and melodic and considerably accessible, a characteristic I've not found in other BDM bands I see them as a technical version of Vader...so...tech death I can hear the influences, but I don't think they're entirely BDM...I suppose that's why they have the tech death tag on the band profile.

That's the slammiest stuff I like. I actually really dislike pure slam like Vulvectomy or Devourment. But this is a very interestingly sounding album.

This had some crazy level riffs. I would usually say slam is "pots and pans" metal, not this one though.

This ranks among the best brutal death albums I've ever heard. Pure banger
