Everybody, let's give a round of applause.

Bring Me The Horizon has made an album that DOESN'T suck.. No, no they have not. It seems after a few releases of some sub-par material and general band dumbassery, Bring Me The Horizon have managed to make something that's actually good. Not ironic "Bro check this breakdown" good either.

It's leaked.

I doubt many people will appreciate this here but this is a really good album, that further solidifies BMTH as an actually respectable band if people could look away from the scene they are in.

This one, aside from a few tracks and some guitar tones is barely metal at all, mainly post-hardcore with significant electronic (mainly synthpop and ambient) and post-rock-ish (yes) elements.

I'm impressed, BMTH. You're not annoying whiney 14 year olds anymore. The music still isn't that good (but it's better than their middle albums). Glad to see some progression.

They've certainly matured a bit, but the music is just as (if not more) generic and stale as ever. Terrible album.

How the hell is this generic?

It is pretty experimental and all over the place, using many different influences from completely different genres.

I can understand you not liking it but it seems generic is a shitty overused word that means nothing because people will apply it to anything they dislike.

Bring Me The Horizon - And The Snakes Start To Sing
This is pretty much the best song they ever did, I love the shit out of the ambiance and atmosphere here (which is pretty much present on the whole album, just in less quantities. Except Antivist, that's a shitty song that break the flow of album unnecessarily). Also who would've thought Oli has a wonderful clean voice and he can write actually good lyrics.

Yup. I'm agree with everyone. Sempiternal is their the best album that they've released. It's not deathcore or post-hardcore. I ddn't even try to categorise them to screamo or emo etc. They made something...different. Something more considered, more electronic, and less gayer. I think that Bring Me The Horizon has made a step. Right step to being serious band, with good songs and albums.

Not bad although I do have to lump them in with the rest of the fast-getting-very-oversaturated-post hardcore-genre.

Wow, I was actually pretty surprised. Not as bad as I thought it would be.

I haven't liked anything I've heard of this band up until this album. I'm genuinely impressed that they've made an album that's dynamic, engaging and varied, with some well written (albeit still somewhat whiny) lyrics. I'm not completely sold on his emo-reminiscent voice, but as someone who's favourite albums consist of Opeth, Edge of Sanity and Death, I was hesitant to give this album a chance, but actually ended up enjoying it from start to finish.

Great record and my favorite! Just heavy enough while also remaining very accessible. Definitely something I'd use to ease someone into heavier music.

Pro Introvert
These guys were always the bane of my existence during my high school years as a beginner metalhead and have always avoided their music like it's toxic. However, as much as I hate to admit this, this album is not bad. Melodies are nice, good structure, the electronic synths are hit and miss, but I just can't stand Oliver Sykes as a vocalist and the lyrics aren't that good in my opinion. Nonetheless, I say this is the least worst metalcore album that didn't make me want to turn it off.

I've always felt there was a certain peak reached with this album, a sort of culmination of their sound without straying blatantly and assumedly into pop as they did afterwards.
