Female fronted metal bands are somewhat of a rarity; yes there are a lot of bands with male and female vocalists but few bands have ONLY a female lead. When Anneke van Giersbergen burst on the scene with The Gathering it seemed metal was on the verge of a revolution, van Giersbergen destroyed the assumption that female vocals "couldn't work" in metal and left the doors wide open to unexplored territories. Perhaps she was too far ahead of her time as no one was ready to follow in her footsteps back in 1995. Nearly 15 years later Elysion stepped up with a poppier, more mainstream metal sound to try to capitalize on this mostly untapped area of the metal world...but did they succeed?

The songs aren't bad... but they are way too short. At a time when you start expecting a little instrumental part, the song finishes.
Just 2 songs are longer than 4 minutes. Should've had a couple guitar, violins or keyboard solos in there.

It's something between average and good for me.

Reminds me of Lacuna Coil in a very lukewarm-ish way. I don't hear much symphony either, if at all.

I mean, this is Lacuna Coil worshiping at its finest. Clone...yet good.

This is a bit of a guilty pleasure haha. It matches the debut in terms of quality, if not a bit better.
Nice for those looking for something straight-forward and accessible female fronted metal

Not quite Elysion, but still good to see Greek metal's catching up with Spain.
