Staff review by
Fallujah have undergone quite the evolution since their debut EP. Beginning life as an out-and-out deathcore band with nothing more than inventive riffs and a few blackened passages to set them apart, they have introduced more progressive and atmospheric elements with each release. The Flesh Prevails marks a true change in Fallujah, from better-than-average players in a populous scene to innovators of a rising and complex one.

Stunning Cactus

Brutal, melodic, atmospheric. Lacks staying power, however, and is somewhat forgettable even after a few listens.

It is the "forgettable" quality of this album that makes me like it so much. Every time I come back, something fresh presents itself; it is worth many more listens than for that which it gets credit, imo. I literally cannot remember anything from it and that mysterious, unknown aspect intrigues me greatly.

Highly enjoyable despite the lousy production.

This would be one of my favorites from 2014 if it wasn't for the production. I can't listen to this anymore.

This one's alright but doesn't have much staying power for me. Get it just for the song Sapphire, shit it's good.

"The Quaker"
It's been years and I still can't get enough of it. I guess it's my all time favorite technical metal album

Unlistenable because of the production ! Altough the music seems interesting, I can't stand the album for more than 2 songs ! My ears get tired very fast !
