Glad to see this band on metalstorm, and this album. So good and influential stuff.

Still feels a bit random which post-rock bands are chosen to be featured and who are not. I would place Mogwai on this site alongside GY!BE, but hey that doesn't seem to be happening.

Checking this out as they're headlining a fest I'm going to. Seems good, but I don't think I connect with this at all *throws on the pile with Tool.*

You better find it good. Top 5 material right here for me. Most bands wish they would accomplish this high level of of songwriting.

It's a festival called ArcTanGent. Tbh the only bands I'm interesting in seeing there are Rollo Tomasi and maybe Animals As Leaders. Going for the social aspect really.

I catched them live a year ago and these guys are pretty fucking good and quite intense live. They are far more noisy live as well, as if the wall of sound they make with their riffs and crescendos truly reaches its potential ona live setting. So yeah... I warmly recommend you to check them out live.

Yeah that's often the way with bands. I certainly wouldn't mind if that was the case when I see them.

They are a bit overripe, but I would be hyped if I was about to see them. And this is the best album in their discog, but I am not sure how much they play it live.

Btw, whats not to like here?

Just doesn't coincide with my tastes. A bit too neutral sounding I think. Either needs more of an edge or more emphatic melody. I don't really like post-rock very much anyway, unless it's mixed with something else.

Yeah, post-rock isnt the most exciting genre, but if... this is the album to go to.

I really enjoy this band as well... They are way better live though since they are far more noisy and abrassive.

I have really come to appreciate this band more and more over time. I also finally checked out their newer stuff, which was ok, but not nearly as great as this and the album and EP that came before it.

Listening to this masterpiece right now. Still one of the best rock albums of the 2000's. The first 4 songs, "Storm", is something truly special and out of this world.

The atmosphere on this album is unreal! A real journey from start to finish.

9.0/10 for me - 'Storm' is the standout track. 'Static' and 'Sleep' are both also great.
