This sounds like a local group of 16 year olds metalcore album.

It's the expected result of placing emphasis on message over music.

With any bad album like this one, I give one last chance to leave an impression before it gets burned/purged/removed forever.
In this instance, my catharsis is actually burning Catharsis.

Wtf is this?!? This isn't Machine Head. Someone abducted them and replaced with those aliens!! Only Heavy Lies the Crown is a nice song.

Totally agree. I listened to this entire album twice (I'd argue it was 2 listens too many) and the only thing I enjoyed was HLtC, despite its cliché title, easily the biggest diamond in the rough in recent memory.

Edit: I've just been reminded IT'S TRACK 11. I had to sit through an hour of 50 year old Limp Bizkit esk whining to get to the good song, twice...

I realized I kind of like the wacky and silly aspect of this record.
