Empires Of Ash is a solid debut album from the atmospheric black metal band Sojourner. The band are fairly new to the atmospheric black metal scene, but they have already made an impact, due to the epic fantasy theme they base their musical style on, which is much within the realms of Summoning and Caladan Brood. it's similar to summoning but better?! I rarely venture into ABM as they offently scream in demonic voices and/or have terrible production and mastering and thus sound like recorded inside a bloody tin can that are painful to listen to sadly. this is an exception - it has quality recording and mastering. it's majestic AF, great atmosphere, lyrics, excelent vocals with male growls and soft female and a beautiful cover art. it's bloody awesome - Atmospheric Black Metal at its best!
