In a deathcore scene increasingly dominated by artists of either a symphonic, blackened, technical or pure beatdown persuasion, Humanity's Last Breath black hole-summoning heaviness stands out more and more, so there should be plenty of appetite for more gargantuan riffs coming your way on Ashen.

A Real Mönkey
I'm fully ready to be sonically reduced to nothing.

This is some djenty deathcore that I can finally appreciate. I can actually enjoy listening to it without having to repeat it over and over again because I might have thought I missed something, which is rare for me when it comes to this particular style. It's seriously heavy and powerful stuff, the riffs, breakdowns, and vocals are insane, it has such a tremendously brutal sound quality.

This album is insane from start to finish. Deathcore being a genre I really don’t care for, this album stands alone for me. It doesn’t have any really stand out moments except maybe the end of Passage and some parts of Bearer, but it’s consistently awesome through the whole thing. Could see giving this a 9 with some more listens.

I like this album but don't know what to make of it as a whole. Each song just rolls on on its own. As a unit, I can't connect to the album. But the good music is there.

I've tried so hard to get into these different Djent bands (other than Meshuggah) and nothing clicks with me. Blood Spilled, Death Spiral, and Passage are cool but it's all pretty same-y.

Unmatched atmosphere on this record. This band is certainly doing something in the djent / progressive / deathcore realm that should appeal to those of us that don't care for that genre (present company included).

I have been decimated into subatomic particles after listening to this album. Gosh, this is heavy. In case if anyone is wondering about the folky intro to the 5th track Instill it's a Bulgarian folk song called Kaval Sviri.
