I would call this Blackened Industrial/Cybergrind with dashes of djent and metalcore. Doesn't really add up to a great listening experience for me but at least they didn't go on calling themselves Dodecahedron with a shift in sound this drastic.

This is not an enjoyable amalgamation.

Decisions were made and I don't agree with almost any of them.

Not something I would listen to on a frequent basis, but I would say this is quite tasty. I'm not one to care about production, but it fits perfectly in this context. Equally melodic, groovy, and dissonant...and definitely not dissonant for the sake of dissonance like many bands employ. Surprised to see this didn't go down as more highly rated on this site

I like a lot of the cyber and black/death sections throughout, the sludgy choruses on some of the songs really didn't click with me, they kinda broke up the intensity of the rest of the album in a way I didn't think worked. Overall pretty interesting though, definitely ambitious.

The fusion of genres is interesting and hits the mark on several occasions, but pretty much all the songs overstay their welcome. If they trim it down a little in the future they may have something great going on. At the moment, it's a good album, just a little on the boring side.

As a side note, the singer sounds uncannily like Andreas Sydow (ex-Darkane), I even had to look it up to make sure it wasn't him.

Theoretically I thought I would have liked this album but after a couple of listens nothing really stands out for me which is a pity as the musicianship is pretty good in the album.
