Aeternam are still one of Quebec's best kept secrets despite their long career. Truth be told, you would not necessarily be looking for top-notch quality melodic death from La Belle Province. After all, it is mostly known for its technical death scene. But you would be wrong. Aeternam have successfully delivered the goods since 2007.

A surprisingly impressive album. I'm very impressed with the song structures, and all that went into it, the chiors, synths and instrumentation together create an epic middle Eastern soundscape, with epic themed historical tales.

I'm not a huge fan of the clean vocals though, and some of the songs aren't as memorable as others. "Where The River Bends" is probably my favourite track, "The Treacherous Hunt" being another standout track, but I'm slightly disappointed by "The Fall Of Constantinople", I expected more from a lengthy closing track.

I somewhat agree with Andy but I have more of a soft spot for these guys. I discovered them through Al Qassam and many tracks from that album never left my playlist.
This new album is a step-up into more complex, progressive and melodc territory and I can't get enough of it. Irene and Beneath the Nightfall are instant favourites. 🖤🎸🤘

I don't understand how somebody could not like the clean vocals. I think they are some of the best I've ever heard.

This is more of symphonic metal and those who are fans of this genre will sure like this. Personally not my favorite choice.

In the beginning I was made of clay. Then I bit the apple and they changed me to metal 🤘

Aeternam has successfully completed their journey from melodeath to symphonic metal. The fall of Constantinople is such a beast of a song, especially the opening riffs of the song.

It's executed very well technically. But listening to it, I just... didn't feel anything. I felt no love in the music.
