They're still a stoner rock/metal band, but they've moved a long way towards post-rock at the same time, particularly on the first two songs. It's a really interesting album, I can only really think of Somali Yacht Club (and maybe Elder at times on the latest) that merged stoner metal with post-rock to a similar degree, so it's a quite distinct approach they're using. I probably prefer the vibe of Different Layers Of Fear, but I can enjoy this as well
