A Nice unique take on synth metal, I really Think they are a great up and coming act. Sounds like a lighter version of Type O Negative. Like Ton mixed with pet shop boys, so basically a lot of fun and catchy hooks.

A (Anonymous Confederate Ensemble), or originally A (エース), was such a very short-lived band (2010-2014) as it was really unique. The easiest way to describe them is as a non-extreme version of Ne Obliviscaris, but way far more diverse and accessible. Of course they featured a violinist, who was the band's mastermind: he is the one who provided this kind of symphonic approach by the use of choirs, piano and even his own kind of operatic back-up singing (among many other exotic instruments). However, his violin is what set them really apart: its role is the same of a lead guitar — and a very, very busy one, with soloing and lots of arrangements! Given that their guitarist is already a shredder, you can expect lots of interesting interplays between violin & guitar: even piano and bass arpeggios take part in them :) Instead of descriptions, check this bunch:

This band is a death metal hidden gem. This band deserves the attention of the members in this community even though they disbanded after releasing a self-titled EP back in 2011 which is a quite unique-sounding metal release.
