Biography
Scheitan is a Swedish gothic rock band formed in Luleå in 1996 by Pierre Törnkvist and Oscar Karlsson.
The current line-up consists of Pierre Törnkvist (vocals/guitars/bass/keyboards/programming). Additional musicians in the band throughout the years has been producer/engineer Göran Norman, bassist Andreas Johansson and vocalist Lotta Hogberg.
Scheitan has released three studio albums (Travelling In Ancient Times, Berserk 2000 and Nemesis) to date. While the first album was black metal in style the band has evolved over time and now plays gothic rock, or gothic metal. After the 1999 release of Nemesis the band went into a hiatus for 24 years before releasing three singles in 2023 (Lost In time, Fire At dawn and the Billy Idol cover White wedding).
