The Story

What could be perceived as an overnight success in fact could not be further from the truth. Sabïre began in the waning months of 2010 as a secret project in Winnipeg, Canada by Scarlett Monastyrski. The years that followed the inception leading up to world recognition were not easy. The journey was not simple, and the difficulty of getting the project off the ground was insurmountable. Sabïre went through numerous short lived lineups which recorded but never got to the stage of performing live, a major relocation to Sydney Australia, and a brief period of inactivity. All the while, Scarlett continued to write new songs and hone the vision for the future.

It was not until December 20th of 2018 that Sabïre would finally put their music out into the world with the acidic powerhouse mini album, 'Gates Ajar', a self-released product, the mini album received immediate and widespread appreciation.

Within a mere one-and-a-half weeks of its release, the band were invited to play Keep It True Festival in Germany. The band accepted, and a four date mini-tour through 3 countries was planned. On April 26th 2019, Sabïre played their third show in front of the 3000 strong audience of Keep It True. A milestone for the band, and a landmark in heavy metal history. After returning home to Australia after their successful "Open the Gates Mini Tour," Listenable Records approached the band and a deal was struck. Sabïre will release their first full length album in 2020 entitled, 'Jätt'.

The Sound

Sabïre is Rock 'n' Roll. Sabïre is Acid Metal.
Acid metal has nothing to do with LSD whatsoever. Acid metal takes its name from the corrosive substance. It all has to do with the sound of the guitars and the wet production overall. The guitar's tone sounds like a drop of acid in the dark. Acidic tone. Sabïre's lyrics no matter the subject, and they are numerous, always have a tinge of biting realism that burns like a drop of acid onto your skin. Acid Metal Is The Sound Of True Resistance.

The Plans

Sabïre will release their first full length album in 2020 entitled, 'Jätt' through Listenable Records.
With over 8 years worth of songs in their arsenal, Sabïre is here, and now ready to put out music for the future.
