Biography
In March of 1999 the band FROZEN FIRE was born with the purpose of making great heavy metal, exploring elements from traditional, melodic, prog, power and hard seeking to forge its own musical identity.
Over its four years of existence, the band made several achievements. Its first material was released on October 2000. The Demo-CD, entitled "Strength & Pride", featuring the first four compositions from the band, was well received by the metal press from Brazil, some examples being magazines Roadie Crew Ed.36 and Rock Brigade Ed.187 (the two most important metal magazines in Brazil) and webzines like Whiplash.net and Skyhell.net.
Frozen Fire has also made some important concerts such as opening act to Angra, in 2001, and Shaman, in 2003. The band made some gigs throughout Brazil too, having played in cities like João Pessoa (PB), Natal (RN) and Teresina (PI). In October of 2003 the band played in one of the biggest brazilian music festivals, Ceará Music, with an estimated audience of 29 thousand people.
February of 2004 mark the release of 'Road Of No End', a four-track EP, receiving raving reviews from the press around the world, including brazilian magazines/webzines Roadie Crew Ed. 63, Rock Brigade Ed. 215, Brazil Metal Law, Skyhell.net, Heavy Metal Brasil, Whiplash.net and european webzines like Temple of Metal, Metal-March.com, Vampire-Magazine.com, PowerMetal.de among others.
After some gigs promoting 'Road Of No End', including an appearance in the 6thedition of the ForCaos festival, drummer Bruno César leaves the band to pursue other interests. The band invites Rômulo Filho (ex-Somberlain) to join in as the new drummer. His premiere took place in the concert as opening act for Angra on October, 15th 2004.
In September of 2005, close to the recordings of the debut-CD, Ricardo Gomes and Rômulo Filho leave the band to pursue new musical horizons. Shortly after Marcelo Cristiano receives a job offer in another town and also has to leave the band. Guitarist Alísio Meneses and bassist Adriano Abreu are promptely invited to join the band.
Frozen Fire is currently looking for a new drummer to start recording it's debut-album, not yet titled, expected to be released in 2006.
Recently, the banda is presented in the third edition of the biggest festival Pop / Rock of the Northeast, the Ceara Music 2003, being the first banda cearense of heavy metal cast appearing on the site of the event, playing to an audience estimated by the organisation in 29 thousand people , On Sunday on 12 October.
Counting today with Andrew France (voice), Ricardo Gomes and Yuri Milk (guitar), Marcelo Cristiano (bass) and Bruno Cesar (drums), are in the studio mixing his latest record, the album promotional In End Of Road
