Biography
Inanes was born in early 2017, first in the minds of Vadus and Mōdor.
The band started rehearsing soon after, with just the guitar and drums. During that period, the first bricks were laid as the foundations for the tracks ‘Disharmony’ and ‘Apotheosis’.
In 2018, vocalist DarkMass reinforced joined Inanes, and the engine started working at full steam. They rehearsed new material and started looking for a bass player. In early 2019, they found Oriens, and the puzzle was complete.
The album Acedia was finished in mid-2019 and the recording session started in the beginning of December that same year.
The recording was almost completed by March 2020, when the pandemic struck, and everything was put to a halt. DarkMass managed to complete vocal recordings in June 2020, but the band still had to wait for things to get better, before they could start thinking about unleashing the album onto the world.
At the end of March 2021, Oriens split from the band. Since then, they have officially become a trio.
The album was finally released digitally in June 2021 and has been gaining momentum ever since.
As things stand close to the end of 2021, Inanes are already neck deep in working on new music. Two songs are almost done and a third one is taking shape. Time will tell, what final form it will all take. They are moving forward and the only certainty is change. A metamorphosis.
