In 2000, with a new line up - Renato Tribuzy, in the vocals; Frank Schieber, in the guitars; Marcos Barzo in the drums; Sidney Sohn, in the keyboards; and Itho Cruz, in the bass - the band went to studio to record their first album. The esteemed guitar player Kiko Loureiro, from Angra, was called to be the producer of the CD and he also plays two solos in it.
The recording and mix sections of the CD happened at "Jardim Magnético Studios" (RJ). But the master was done in one of the most specialised studios of heavy metal, the Hollywood Blazers - House of Music, in Germany, where bands like Primal Fear and Helloween have also recorded. With the objective to put the name of the band in more evidence and to get near the public, Thoten released their official home-page, in September 2000, by the URL www.thoten.com, where fans and press can get all information about the band: news, shows, discography, photo gallery, songs in mp3, videos and a guest book.
The "Beyond the Tomorrow" was released in Brazil in February 2001 and, after only four months, Metal Gallery Records signed a contract with the Italian label Scarlet for the release of THOTEN's CD in Europe. The album arrived in the "old continent" in February 2002.

Then, the band went to Scandinavia, where they played in Copenhagen, Klippan, Malmo, Estocolmo, Angelholm, Helsingborg and Hultsfred, conquering the public from punk to trash metal.
Continuing the "Beyond Tour", THOTEN did their first show in Brazil, in the end of 2001, with a great concert in São Paulo. The public could check out a brilliant performance of the band from the beginning to the end.
In April 2002, THOTEN went to a tour in Peru. There the band played live in television and was headliner at the "II Lima Metal Rock Festival". In October, THOTEN will start the second part of the "European Beyond Tour", playing in countries like Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and England.
After the international tour, THOTEN will enter in studio to start the production of their second album, that will probably be released in the begining of next year.
