Uncomplicated yet advanced. Solidly based in the metal/rock genre, Defecto delivers modern, alternative, hard-hitting heavy rock with a virtuosity that turns heads everywhere - music that presents itself to rocking out and reflective listening alike.

Defecto arose through the fusion between frontman Nicklas Sonne and the group Deviant. From his teens, Nicklas Sonne was already an accomplished guitarist, but his huge vocal potential drew him towards a solo career as a singer/songwriter. Frederik and Thomas have, since boyhood, been playing together under a succession of band names, continuously dropping jaws of audiences with their technical skills and particular brand of progressive rock.

Sonne's ripping metal riffs and symphonic themes lacked the proper backing of accomplished musicians and, correspondingly, the alternative, advanced prog-rock of Deviant needed the defining character of a strong lead vocal. When the four guys met up in the autumn of 2010, a rock group with potential came into being.

In march 2012, spectacular drummer/musician & all around great guy Lars Jensen joined Defecto, replacing the former drummer. And in 2016 the band has released it's debut album, Excluded, with the help of Prime Collective and Power Prog Records.
