Gojira - New Album Coming Later This Year

Gojira have issued the following update on their MySpace page:

"Having completed more than 220 shows in order to promote the much acclaimed "From Mars To Sirius" album, Gojira are now about to finish up the writing of their much awaited new full length to be released in Autumn 2008. The band will lock themselves in the studio from April to June.
The new and yet untitled album will include all new original material and will be released by French label Monslip / Warner in France and Listenable Records and various licensors in other territories.

The band will immediatly embark on a series of major tours in Europe and throughout the U.S. right after the release. More infos soon."

Gojira - Vocalist To Play Bass Duties On Cavalera Brothers' New Band

The following message was posted on Gojira's official website:

"Joe (vocals / guitar) of Gojira will play the bass on reunited Igor and Max Cavalera's new band recordings which album is to be released on Roadrunner later this year. Joe expressed his genuine enthusiasm in taking part of this to be much talked about project : ' Playing with Max and Igor is like living a dream, I 've always had so much respect for their musical achievements, it is an incredible personal experience for me ". The recording is taking place at Dirty Icon in L.A.with engineer Logan Mader and started on the 8th of July. Gojira recently shared stages with Slayer, Mastodon, Chimaera, Beastie Boys etc at the Hove and Roskilde festivals in Norway and Denmark respectively. The band has confirmed their appearance at the Rockozarenes festival in Switzerland opening for Nine Inch Nails and Samael in August."

The band is also currently writing new stuff for a late 2008 release.

Gojira - Joining The Unholy Alliance Concert In Paris

Gojira has joined the already wonderful bill of the "Unholy Alliance" concert to take place in Paris at the "Palais Omnisport De Paris Bercy" on November 7th 2006. Doors open at 3:30 pm. The following bands will be performing in the following order :

Gojira - Releasing Latest Album Through Prosthetic

Prosthetic Records has entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with France's Listenable Records to release the new album from French metal titans Gojira throughout North America. The band's latest opus, From Mars To Sirius, will be released through Prosthetic on August 22nd.
