Chimaira - Planned To Reunite This Year

In a recent interview with Pierre Gutiérrez, Chimaira guitarist Rob Arnold revealed that the band, just prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, had planned to reunite for not only live performances but also to possibly record a new album, which would have been their first since 2013's Crown Of Phantoms. Chimaira called it quits back in 2014 after 16 years together. They reunited for one show back in 2017 and have been mostly inactive since then.

American black metal act Bahimiron just lost their member Blaash. He played drums for the band until they disbanded in 2014. It was the band's frontman Grimlord who broke the news. R.I.P.

HIM - To Break Up, Announce Farewell Tour

Following a long radio silence, Finnish band HIM have announced a farewell tour, closing the final chapter on their 26 year career. Formed in 1991 by vocalist Ville Valo, guitarist Mikko "Linde" Lindström and bassist Mikko "Migé" Paananen, HIM "offered the world a new take on the metal genre, which became known as Love Metal (also the title of their fourth album)". Now, four years after the release of their last studio album, Tears On Tape, the band is saying farewell, taking in 14 countries across 35 shows for their final goodbye.

HIM - Perform Surprise Show, Announce New Drummer

The Finnish band HIM set up a pleasant surprise for the audience of Qstock festival in Oulu, Finland with a secret performance. The festival had originally booked Ville Valo's solo project Rambo Rimbaud, but Valo and the rest of the band apparently decided otherwise and introduced their new drummer, Jukka "Kosmo" Kröger, on stage. Jukka previously played in the Finnish pop-rock group Herra Ylppö & Ihmiset.

HIM - New Shows Announced

Finnish metallers HIM will play three shows in August in their home country. These shows will mark the band's first live appearances since the departure of longtime drummer Mika Kristian "Gas Lipstick" Karppinen earlier this year. His replacement hasn't been announced yet.

Drummer Mika Kristian "Gas Lipstick" Karppinen has announced that he is leaving the Finns HIM. He has been in the band for a long time, since 1999 and now leaves because he feels it's time to move on and pursue his own musical interests. However, there is no animosity between him and the band.

HIM - To Begin Working On New Album In 2015

The Finns HIM released their last album Tears On Tape back in 2013. Now the band's singer Ville Valo has confirmed that the band plans to work on new music in 2015. Currently touring in the U.S., they will conclude their 2014 schedule with a hometown show on New Year's Eve and take a little break before working on the next release.

Chimaira - Share New Video

Chimaira released their newest album Crown Of Phantoms last year. The American metallers share now a video for the tune "Wrapped In Violence". Andromeda - To Reissue 'Chimera' And 'II=I'

Inner Wound Recordings announced that the label will re-release the classic Andromeda progressive metal albums II = I and Chimera. The release dates are set for January 21st for North America and January 24th for Europe. Both albums are remastered and contain liner notes written by Andromeda guitarist Johan Reinholdz.
