Mourning Lenore - Announce New Line-Up

After the departure of guitarist/vocalist João Galrito earlier this year and bass player Joana Messias, Portuguese atmospheric doom metal band Mourning Lenore are proud to announce their new revamped line-up, reinforced by three new musicans.

The band now consists of Ricardo Matias (who also plays in Scaffold Bird) on guitars, André Vieira on vocals and, at last but not least, Fernando Matias, the band's producer, on bass.

The five doomsters are now preparing for a new season of gigs starting in the next fall. By that time, the band will also release a new song composed by the new line-up, a small appetizer for the successor of Loosely Bounded Infinities, released in September last year.

Mourning Lenore - Announce Line-Up Changes

Portuguese atmospheric doomsters Mourning Lenore have parted ways with vocalist/guitarist João Galrito. The band will announce his replacement in the near future.

The official word from the band reads as follows: "Mourning Lenore hereby announces that due to various differences, the band will follow their path without João Galrito. However, the band will honor the previous commitments and will not cancel any of the two gigs already confirmed - March 19th at Benavente and March 25th at Moita Metal Fest.

At both concerts, the position of João Galrito will be filled by a very special guest, whose name will be announced soon and certainly won't disappoint anyone. In the meanwhile, auditions for the final place(s) of vocalist/lead guitarist are opened.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish all the best to João Galrito and Alchemist, Pestilência and Amarionette."
