Crisix - Release Music Video For 'W.N.M. United' Single

Spanish thrashers Crisix have released a music video for the song "W.N.M. United", taken from their upcoming album Full HD, which comes out on April 15th. This song - which stands for "World Needs Mosh United" and pays tribute to the 2000's revival of thrash metal - features ten "new wave of thrash metal" vocalists performing the song, while the intro to the video features Chuck Billy from Testament.

Megaforce Records - Co-Founder Jon Zazula Passed Away

Jon Zazula, who co-founded longtime independent record label Megaforce Records with his late wife Marsha back in 1982, has passed away at the age of 69. Megaforce released the first two Metallica albums, Kill 'Em All and Ride The Lightning. The label also put out the Anthrax's debut album, Fistful Of Metal, in 1984. Some of other metal acts that have collaborated with the label: Overkill, Ministry, Testament, Mercyful Fate.

Dark Angel - To Enter Studio Before End Of 2022

In his latest Twitch stream, drummer Gene Hoglan confirmed that - following his second departure from Testament nearly two weeks ago - he has redirected his focus to Dark Angel, where he is currently writing new material for the band's first studio album since 1991's Time Does Not Heal, and also revealed that the band is planning to hit the studio before the end of the year. A tentative release in 2023 is expected for the new record.

Testament - Drummer Gene Hoglan Leaves Band

Bay Area thrash metal legends Testament announced last Friday (June 21st) that drummer Gene Hoglan has once again left the band to focus on other endeavors, including the long-awaited new album from his other band Dark Angel. Although Testament have yet to announce a replacement for Hoglan (who was a member of the band during 1996-1997 and then he rejoined in 2011), they have vowed not to cancel or reschedule any upcoming live dates, including the highly-anticipated 'U.S. Bay Strikes Back Tour' with Exodus and Death Angel that will take place this April and May.

Trauma (USA) - Announce New Album, First-Ever European Tour

Bay Area metal legends Trauma (USA) have revealed Awakening as the title of their upcoming fourth album, which will be their first since 2018's As The World Dies and their first one with new singer Brian Allen (Dark Arena, ex-Vicious Rumors, etc.) as the replacement of the late Donny Hillier. Due for release this year, the album was produced by Juan Urteaga (Testament and Machine Head) and is expected to include such songs as "Death Of The Angels", "Meat", "Death Machine" and "Walk Away". Trauma (USA) have also announced dates for their first-ever European tour, which will be supported by former Manowar guitarist Ross The Boss.

Death Angel - No New Album Until 2023

Death Angel frontman Mark Osegueda has indicated that the band's upcoming tenth studio album, which will be their first since 2019's Humanicide, will not be released before 2023. He cited both the band's tour upcoming schedule (including participating in 'The Bay Strikes Back Tour' in the U.S. with Testament and Exodus) and the fact that they have been "in the very, very early stages" of writing new material as the reasons for the record's delay.

Testament - More Dates Added To U.S. Tour With Exodus And Death Angel

After it was announced over a month ago that the U.S. leg of 'The Bay Strikes Back Tour', featuring Testament, Exodus and Death Angel, had been rescheduled from this fall to next spring, each of the bands confirmed on their Facebook pages that five more dates have been added to the trek. Tickets go on sale this Friday (November 19th).

Municipal Waste - Re-Sign With Nuclear Blast, New Record Completed

Following a decade of wreaking havoc together, Municipal Waste and Nuclear Blast have officially re-signed a worldwide deal that will extend the NUCLEAR-WASTE union for years to come. To date, co-conspirators' partnership has spawned some of the best crossover thrash of the last 20 years with 2 studio records, 2012's The Fatal Feast and 2017's Slime And Punishment, and an EP, 2019's The Last Rager, and we're only getting started. The band recently wrapped work on the eagerly awaited, 7th full-length album that's scheduled to be unleashed in 2022. Further details to be unveiled in the coming months.

Testament - U.S. Tour Dates With Exodus & Death Angel Rescheduled

The U.S. leg of 'The Bay Strikes Back Tour' that was set to begin this week – featuring Testament, Exodus and Death Angel - has been rescheduled to April and May of next year, due to safety concerns related to the COVID pandemic. However, these three bands are still on the bill for Aftershock Festival in Sacramento this Thursday (October 7th) and will still play in Oakland at Fox Theater on November 27th as previously scheduled.

Testament - Chuck Billy Working On Solo Album

Testament have a lot on their plate, including a fall U.S. tour with Exodus and Death Angel, and another album that will follow up last year's Titans Of Creation. However, frontman Chuck Billy isn't slowing down as stated in a recent interview on The Jasta Show (hosted by Hatebreed vocalist Jamey Jasta) that he has a been working on music for his first solo album, which he says the direction will be somewhat different from the music of Testament and might include guest appearances from Mark Morton (Lamb Of God) and Gary Holt (Slayer, Exodus).
