Michael Schenker - Releases Cover Of UFO's 'Rock Bottom'
Legendary guitarist Michael Schenker has released a cover version "Rock Bottom" by his former band UFO. Backed by guitarist and vocalist Kai Hansen (Helloween, Gamma Ray), keyboardist Derek Sherinian (ex-Dream Theater), drummer Brian Tichy and bassist Barry Sparks (both longtime collaborators of Schenker), this is the second single off his upcoming album My Years With UFO, a collection of cover songs from Michael's time in UFO. The album is due for release on September 20th, 2024 via earMUSIC.

Michael Schenker - Announces UFO Covers Album
Following UFO's retirement from last April, former guitarist Michael Schenker has announced My Years With UFO, which includes covers of songs from his initial tenure with the band from 1972 to 1978, and is due for release on September 20th, 2024 via earMUSIC. The album will include contributions from a handful of artists, such as both Axl Rose and Slash of Guns N' Roses, Vandenberg and former Whitesnake guitarist Adrian Vandenberg, Deep Purple's Roger Glover, Ratt's Stephen Pearcy, Helloween's Kai Hansen, Saxon's Biff Byford, legendary drummer Carmine Appice, among others.

UFO - Cancels October Concerts, Singer Suffers Heart Attack
Legendary British rock veterans UFO was forced to cancel their October concert run, due to the fact that band vocalist Phil Mogg is recovering after suffering a heart attack last week. The 74-year-old British-born musician was rushed to the hospital where he had two stents implanted into his coronary arteries. This is known medically as a coronary angioplasty and aims to re-open the blocked coronary artery by inserting one or more stents. This helps keep the narrowed artery open.

UFO - Announce Last-Ever Concert
British rockers UFO just announced that they are going to take for the last time ever on October 29th, 2022 at an undisclosed venure in Athens, Greece, where the band performed its first show featuring current guitarist Vinnie Moore back in 2004. This show will also serve as the final date of the band's recently-rescheduled European tour that will take place from next summer to fall, and tickets expect to go on sale on October 1st.
