Hatesphere - Parts Ways With Drummer And Bassist, Announced Replacements

The following message was posted on Hatesphere's official website:

"Now it is official: Anders and Mikael is no longer in the band.
We played the last show with them this tuesday - as support for mighty Megadeth.
We have known for a long time, that they would leave, so we kind of was getting used to it -
but it still was a weird feeling playing that last show with them. And a great show it was!

Anders and Mikael, thanks for all the good, the bad and the drunk times!

Picture of ancient line-up here.

The madness will go on.
The rumors about a split up, and rumors about this and that, is a part of the game I guess.
You know, people talk - people wants to be a part of this thing, and then people start spreading lies about the whole situation and bla bla bla...
We know the truth - and that´s enough for us. Who would ever believe the guy who beats up his girlfriend anyway..?
We knew this would start all kinds of shittalking and bla bla bla... And spcially now we are aware of it...
So, what to say?..maybe Go fuck yourself!

This band will continue as HateSphere.
We have lots of new adventures in the future. Lots of great shows, festivals and so on.
And so far we will continue with these two guys you see on the mugshot below.
On drums we got Dennis Buhl and on bass we got Mixen Lindberg.
Welcome!

Picture of new line-up here.

See you all out there - have a Serpent Summer

All the best
Jacob and the leftovers".

Obituary - Ralph Santolla To Help On New Album

OBITUARY frontman John Tardy has posted the following message on the group's official web site:

"There is so much going on! The most important thing is the recording/mixing of the new CD and that is going amazing! These new songs are so heavy and we are happy and lucky to announce that Ralph Santolla (ex-Iced Earth, Deicide, Death) is helping us with some of the guitar work. To have someone like Ralph working with us is totally new to OBITUARY and I can't tell you how excited we are. This new album, 'Xecutioner's Return', is just coming to life!

"I know there has been a lot of speculation about what we were going to do for another guitarist now that Allen West is unavailable. It is kind of strange how things work out. We have known Ralph for a long time and it is no suprise how good of a guitar player he is, but what was really nice is how good we work with each other and how good we get along. Not only is Ralph recording with us, but he will also be going with us to Europe in July and on our U.S. tour in September.

"We leave for South America tomorrow for the next set of shows and they should be some good ones. We have been to Argentina (a long time ago), but we have never been to Chile or Brazil, so we are looking forward to these shows. When we get home we will finish up the mixing of the new CD and we are on schedule for a late August release!"

Check out pictures from the recording studio at Obituary.cc.

Obituary's "Xecutioner's Return" is scheduled for release on August 28 via Candlelight Records. The band is working with artist Andreas Marshall for the cover art for "Xecutioner's Return". Marshall has worked with the band for "The End Complete" and their most recent record "Frozen in Time".

Impaled Nazarene - New Album On The Way

The following message was posted on Impaled Nazarene's official website:

"Greetings weaklings,

We have finished recording all instruments for our 10th studio album "Manifest". We entered Sonic Pump studio with our producer/engineer Tapio Pennanen on May 10th. Recordings went fast and well, and happy to say we do not use triggers on this album. Much more warmer live sound on this one. We have a little break now and we will continue with vocals in June. Then we will have a longer break and "Manifest" will be mixed at Sonic Pump at the end of July. Here is the tracklisting (not in any order):

01. Intro: Greater Wrath
02. The Antichrist Files
03. Pandemia
04. Mushroom Truth
05. Die Insane
06. Blueprint For Your Culture´s Apocalypse
07. Funeral For Despicable Pigs
08. Goat Justice
09. Dead Return
10. Suicide Song
11. Pathogen
12. The Calling
13. Planet Nazarene
14. You Don´t Rock Hard
15. When Violence Commands The Day
16. Original Pig Rig

This album is definitely the most varied one since Suomi Finland Perkele. Even more than said SFP. We have slow shit, fast shit, rocking shit. Shit that will kick your ass. Some surprises for sure. Lyrically, in case you did not guess, this one deals with all possible bullshit we have faced during the last couple of years. You got it, wrath falls upon lots of people. Well, let me rephrase this. Wrath falls upon all sub-humans. You know who you are, choke on bratwurst you pathetic cock-suxxors!!!

We will be mastering the album in August. Ritual, who have worked with us previously on many occasions, will handle all artwork and layout for the album. We hope to have "Manifest" out by the end of October. It will be released by Osmose Productions on both cd and vinyl!"

Doro - Headliner Of The Flight Of The Valkyries Metal Festival

Minnesota-based Metal Promoter Announces First All Female-fronted Metal Festival to Grace the United States' Midwest Featuring Headliner Doro Pesch (Doro/Warlock)

SwordLord Productions will debut the Flight of the Valkyries metal festival on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Station-4 in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota. Doors open at 3:30 pm. The show is 18+. Ticket prices are $20 in advance or $30 on the day of show.

Flight of the Valkyries 2007 will be the United State's only music festival devoted to metal bands with female lead vocalists. Confirmed bands for the 2007 complete festival line-up include headliner, Doro Pesch (Warlock/Doro), and supporting acts, Vainglory, Earthen, Visedon, The Ottoman Empire, Sirens of Titans and Spiritual Decay.

Nathan "SwordLord" Block, Flight of the Valkyries festival promoter and founder of SwordLord Productions explains how the festival came about, "I've had this idea in the works for a while and this summer's US Doro tour was just timed perfectly. When the tour stop came to St. Paul on a Saturday, I said to myself, well this is it. So, Flight of the Valkyries has been born!"

With this year's festival line-up, SwordLord Productions has represented a number of metal sub-genres including power, thrash, death, classic and folk. Block says that SwordLord Productions wants to showcase all metal sub-genres at the festival. "The only unifying factor," he says, "being that a female vocalist obviously must front the band."

Block also has intentions for the festival to become an annual event, but is waiting to see how successful this year's show will be. This year's festival mainly showcases US-based bands, with Doro (from Germany) being the only band based outside of the country. In future years, SwordLord Productions plans to expand the geographic regions represented to include other countries.

"I have high hopes for this festival and I intend to do at least one or two more based on the long wish list of potential bands I've already created for myself," says Block. "Wait till you see what I have planned for next year if this year goes well!"

For more information on the Flight of the Valkyries festival, please visit the festivals web site at www.femalemetalfest.com or on myspace at www.myspace.com/femalemetalfest. For more information on SwordLord Productions, visit www.MySpace.com/SWORDLORD

Nightwish - Deny Plagiarism Accusations Concerning "Eva"

The new Nightwish single EVA is currently under investigation by finnish Teosto.

The chorus of the song is claimed to be very much similar to a song "Whirlpool" by Jukka Reinvuo, a relatively unknown finnish artist. In fact the chorus sounds so similar that it is accused of being plagiarized.

Tuomas Holopainen of Nightwish denies the accusations saying that he has just heard about this today and that he has never heard neither the song nor the artist. Tuomas Holopainen would be interested of hearing the song before saying anything else about the matter.

All the profits from the EVA single will be given to charity. Finnish salesprofits are sent to two familyhomes in Kitee: Perhekoti Viliina and Perhekoti Tiaisen Pesä.

Kataklysm - Announce New Album Title

Kataklysm singer Maurizio Iacono has issued the following update:

"First off, I want to sincerely thank everyone involved with The Invaluable Darkness Tour we just completed with our friends Dimmu Borgir. We would like to thank them for treating us like brothers and to all their crew for helping us out when we needed it. This new friendship is forged in blood! Thanks also to Devildriver whom we shared a bus with and developed a new friendship. Last but not least, the dudes in Unearth, all cool people. This tour was a triumph for us in all senses, especially to be able to play for our fans on a bigger package, who proved to us everyday that all the blood and sweat wasn't for nothing. The words of encouragement from our fans mean EVERYTHING.

"We're gonna finish writing a new album, titled 'Prevail', this summer, because we know how important this one will be for our fans, and 'prevail' is exactly what we want to do with this album. It has to be as perfect as we can make it. If it doesn't bring the goosebumps, it ain't coming out right. Guitarist J-F Dagenais will produce and engineer the album as always. In the meantime, we have two more tours planned this year: late summer or early fall in North America and in Europe in October with Behemoth and Aborted. A big thank you to all our supporters worldwide. We won't disappoint ? you know how we roll!"
