Stratovarius - Guitarist Checks In From Tokyo
Stratovarius Has Wrote The Following Message On There Official Website:
Things didn't start the smoothest way at the airport. After I entered the cockpit it was evident that one engine had a small fuel leak, so they tried to fix that. It wasn't possible, so everybody back to terminal. They got another plane and we were on our way with 2.5 hours delay. The take-off was amazing. I just watched in awe while the pilots did their thing with hundreds of knobs. Some of them I knew from my simulator experiences. It was really cool to be there in both take off and landing and gave me even more confidence together with my simulator experiences that flying is a really safe way to travel.
So we arrived to Osaka at 11 in the morning, two hours later than planned. Everything is always so cool here; 5 star hotels, the schedules are always holding, people are nice and friendly and the fans shower us with gifts. It's weird, but we were here a bit more than a year ago and now we are selling more tickets even without new album.
First show went really well. We were a bit nervous because we hadn't been playing any shows in seven months, but it was just great. The place was called Big Cat and it was the second hottest club I have played in. The temperature on stage was close to 55 Celsius. Poor Jörg. Poor TK. Despite the heat, the Osaka audience once again gave us a GREAT welcome. Then after the show signed some autographs, back to hotel and to dinner with the promoter to a Korean barbeque. Jens was getting really drunk and showed his usual antics (unfortunately I didn't bring my video camera there). I don´t know what the locals think when they hear in Japanese 'I want to fuck your dog' or 'I want to shit on your ancestors,' but maybe they saw the humour. I certainly did and I can never get enough of this genius guy.
In the morning a bullet train (300 km/h) ride to Tokyo and I just came back from a radio interview with TK and I´m typing this in my room with a view to a city that is 100 km in diameter and has 17 million people. Tomorrow a new show, all okay here, hope there too."
Signing out,
Timo

Primal Fear - Henny Wolter Re-joins Band
The following statement has been posted on the band's offical website:
"Yes, after a long discussion about the future of Primal Fear, we've decided to bring Henny Wolter back to the band. After a four year break, Henny takes over the guitar duties together with Stefan Leibing, who played most of the guitars on the new album "New Religion".
We decided us against a brandnew face, because Henny is back ready & smoking. Henny's departure 4 years ago was in a very friendly way and the guys stayed in contact during his abscence. Henny did a fantastic job on the new Primal Fear recordings and the following Sinner tour. We are proud to have the riff master from Hannover back in our ranks! Henny will make his comeback with the band on the next show on June 30th in Germany. Welcome Back, Henny!"

Metallysee - Offer Statement Regarding European Tour Cancellations
Metallysee Booking Agency, the long-running Belgian company which was recently blamed for a string of European tour cancellations by such bands as Finntroll, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter (Earthshaker Roadshock Tour), Marduk, Enslaved (The Excess Of Evil Tour) and Unleashed (Midvinterblot Tour II) ? has released the following statement to Blabbermouth.net:
"For all of those that have been writing in with their hate mail, let me take a moment now to explain the recent mishaps that have been happening at my company, Metallysee Booking Agency.
"First of all, my name is Johan De Mesmaeker and I am one of the owners of Metallysee. I have had this company for more than 22 years, and during that time I have put many bands on tour in Europe. Many who have gone on to become bigger acts and many that have gone on to other booking agencies.
"During the past year, I had to take a leave from running the day-to-day operations of my company due to personal reasons and in my place was my (former) employee named Henk Mol (of Vain Productions). Together with my business partner Gina, Henk was responsible for putting the tours together and making sure that things functioned as they should. Well, as we know now, things didn't happen exactly this way.
"With my sister not knowing anything about the business (or the bands), Henk was pretty much in control of everything. In the case of the Earthshaker Roadshock tour, he, and HE ALONE, made the cost of this tour so high that it was impossible to continue that tour. Some bands were contracted to be paid more than they should have, while other bands were contracted to be paid when in fact they should have been paying us tour support. The same was the case with the Marduk tour.
"In order to keep my company alive, I had no choice but to cancel these tours to avoid myself going into bankruptcy and to be able to continue in a business that I've been involved in for many years.
"In the case of Henk Mol, on the eve of the Earthshaker tour he conveniently 'quit' his position (and even has the NERVE to go back to some bands on our roster to tell them how he 'left' Metallysee and is in the process of starting his own booking agency and would like to book their tours from now on).
"Now while I don't absolve myself from any responsibility of these recent errors, the fact remains that before I took my leave, I have been doing the No Mercy and X-Mas tours (for example) twice a year for the past nine years that were completely successful. As most of you know, some of these tours had up to 8 and 9 bands and they always went to the and everyone was always paid in full.

Therion - 2nd Edition Of "Therion Goes Classic" In Hungary
After the successful world premiere of Therion´s unforgettable classics-metal concert "Therion goes classic" at Bucharest 2006, Therion come back to celebrate a new marriage of classical music and modern heavy metal:
On 16. 06.2007 Therion play again a full show together with an orchestra, choir and excellent Hungarian opera soloists at the Ice Hall at Miskolc, Hungary. Additionally, Aesma Daeva's vocalist Lori Lewis, who joined Therion for their successful "Gothic Kabbalah" European tour in 2007, will enter the stage as a classical soloist.
The swedish singer Mats Leven, who was one of the soloists for Therion's last two albums (Lemuria/Sirius B and Gothic Kabbalah) and who toured with them since 2004, confirmed his appearance at the festival - one of the last chances to enjoy his charismatic interpretation of Therion' songs.
The concert takes place as a part of the Miskolc International Opera Festival.
The setlist contains "therionized" classical pieces, e.g. Wagner, Mozart and Verdi, and Therion songs with orchestral arrangements, many of them are rarely played at a live gig. It wouldn't be Therion, if they wouldn't have also a great musically surprise for the fans?
Because of the world wide big interest in this exciting concert event, the organisers provide a special service:
Until 08.06.2007 fans can email Therion band members and all participating artists their questions (in english) regarding this concert to: therion@eszak.boon.hu
All answers will be published (in english and hungarian) on www.boon.hu
The exact date of publishing the answers will be announced soon.
Fans will find further informations about the concert event and the tickets at:
Therion store: www.therionstore.com

The setlist contains "therionized" classical pieces, e.g. Wagner, Mozart and Verdi, and Therion songs with orchestral arrangements, many of them are rarely played at a live gig. It wouldn't be Therion, if they wouldn't have also a great musically surprise for the fans?
Because of the world wide big interest in this exciting concert event, the organisers provide a special service:
Until 08.06.2007 fans can email Therion band members and all participating artists their questions (in english) regarding this concert to: therion@eszak.boon.hu

Akercocke - New Album Leads To Controversy
The forthcoming album from Akercocke, abruptly titled "Antichrist", has run into more controversy. The provocative nature of the record has already led to problems in Ireland, where the band will take part in a live discussion on the 'Nolan Live' show on BBC1 Northern Ireland tonight at 10.45pm with members of the Irish Catholic clergy.
Now the album has run into problems in the US, where the pressing plant handling the production of the album, Disc USA, has refused to handle the record due its 'anti-Christian' perspective. Commenting on the decision, Akercocke frontman Jason Mendonca stated:
"I rather perturbed that in this day and age, the 21st Century, people are so uptight. Whatever happened to freedom of speech and freedom of expression in the alleged democracy of the USA? Censorship is always ugly no matter how you view it. It smacks of fascism to me. What other works of art are barred to the good people of America?
The attitude of the printers is typical of the brainwashed. Judging something (literally) by its cover here for a picture of the cover art].
Anyone who took the time to look into our history would recognise that we have always stated we are anything but anti-christian. It's divisive attitudes such as this that bring about conflict. Conflict through ignorance."
Akercocke's "Antichrist" is currently set for May 28 release in UK/Europe, with an American release due on July 17.
