Norwegian metallers Syrach have issued the following update on their MySpace blog:

"A couple of days ago, we got an e-mail from our drummer Adam telling us he is leaving us. We have been seeing this coming for some time, since he's only been in Bergen twice in one year for rehearsals. Fair enough, since he got a great job in Oslo he have our understanding and the best of luck in the future. Hopefully he will not quit drumming, as he is far too good to leave his sticks on the shelf, especially since he is only 25 years old...

So with this blog we will remember Adam as we remember him and at the same time ask all drummers out there to get in touch if you want to play some true norwegian doom!

We have had several great years together with Adam, and a lot of fun. He have tought us about time travels and solved many math mysteries for us.

Swedish metallers One Man Army And The Undead Quartet have issued the following update:

"Hello folks.

Marek here with an update from Black lounge / The abyss studio.

So the process have begun, we are recording a new album. The dark epic... And what a killer album it will be. I starded this morning off pretty early about 7 am. Changed all the heads and tuned and rigged my kit. Jonas showed up as planned about 9am and started putting micks on the drums and preparing all his stuff. By lunch the linecheck and basicsound was complete and we where ready to start tracking.

We grabbed a quick bite and then started.

First of was "The Dark Epic..." then "Devil's Harlot", followed by "Zombie Syndrome" and finishing up the day with "Inside The Head Of God". If felt really good to get such start from day one. I'm really happy with today, tired but happy.

Cheers to you all."

Swedish metallers Evocation will release their third album, Apocalyptic, on October 29 via Cyclone Empire Records. Also, a brand new song, "Sweet Obsession", is available for streaming on the band's MySpace page.

Tokyo's Gallhammer are currently working on new material for the follow-up to 2007's Ill Innocence, & will enter the studio in October to record what Vivian Slaughter (bass/vocals) describes as an album of "strange & psychedelic experimental sounds of doom".

Italian metallers Pathosray have issued the following update on their MySpace blog:

"Due to artistic differences, guitarist Alessio Velliscig and Pathosray have decided to part ways on good terms. The band wishes Alessio the best in his future endeavors and would like to thank him for the memorable experiences during the past three years of working together.

We have exciting news of welcoming the new Pathosray guitarist, Antonio Petris!

Antonio has been working with Pathosray's bassist, Fabio D'Amore, for a few years now on several projects. The band found he brought a level of energy and artistic contribution that will be useful to the creation of the upcoming album.

Antonio comments, "I am given this great opportunity to join a band like Pathosray and I am really happy about the way we started working together! British thrashers Evile have revealed that they are currently hard at work writing for a brand new studio album.

Evile, who recently won a coveted Metal Hammer Golden Gods award, are writing the follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2009 album, Infected Nations. The band announce that they will once again be working with producer Russ Russel.

Evile lead guitarist Ol Drake comments: "We're well on our way into writing the material for Evile's third album now. We've been playing around with the odd part and riffs since 'Infected Nations' came out in 2009. I have about ten song ideas which are being built on daily, but not going to stop there. We're not going to limit ourselves this time to a certain number of songs. We're just going to write until it's time to give up and go into pre-production. We've been sending tracks/recordings/ideas back and forth between ourselves, Russ Russell and our management (Wiseblood) and there's an excellent vibe going.

I don't want this to be a typical 'new album' update using the same descriptions and words most bands use to big up an album, so I'll just say the new stuff is really getting my blood boiling and my heart racing. We've been through a lot over the past year, and it's being naturally reflected in the music which is coming out. I've never been as passionate as I am now about writing the best material we can. With Joel in the mix, and him being a die-hard thrash fan since the '80s, I'm looking forward to see how this will turn out. Keep an eye on our website for more details, and come catch us on one of the 77 shows in September-December in North America!
