Six Feet Under - Enter in the studio

Tampa Florida death-metalers Six Feet Under headed into Morrisound studios Friday, October 1st to start laying down tracks to their next full length follow-up to Bringer of Blood. Right now the band is recording all the music and then Chris Barnes will head over to the Hit Factory to lay down the vocals. Once again Chris Barnes will be the producer and Chris Carroll will be handling engineering and mixing. As far as what this CD's subject matter will be about, Chris Barnes says, "the material is dark and demented, and is not uplifting." More information on the new album and studio updates from Chris Barnes will be made available in the coming weeks.

In other news SFU will be playing Puerto Rico on 10/29 and Trinidad and Tobago on 10/30, both shows with Hatebreed.

Winds - Update on new album

"Over the summer we entered Panser Studio in Oslo, Norway to record drums for the next and upcoming Winds album. We had written nine compositions and felt the time was ready to begin manifesting the basic tracks for this effort. These compositions are in no way finished at this point, but Jan Axel laid down some of his most challenging and creative drumwork to date, which will serve as the foundation of what the record will be built upon.
The entire studio process went really well, and we have to extend our gratitude to BT Pro Audio, SE Electronics, and not the least Audio Media Professional AS who were majorly involved in providing us with the mics and other gear we needed for these drum recordings. We will not speculate on when the next album will be ready, but we hope it will see a release towards the end of 2005, at which point you can expect to hear another fabulous yet also very different Winds album."

Quiet Riot - Back, live CD

QUIET RIOT, the band who introduced the world to their chart-topping album "Metal Health", are back after an eighteen month absence. Driven by vocalist Kevin DuBrow and powered by drummer Frankie Banali, both QUIET RIOT founding members, the band is now fueled by longtime QUIET RIOT contributing bassist Chuck Wright and energized with BEAUTIFUL CREATURES guitarist Alex Grossi.

QUIET RIOT have entered into an equitable and legal agreement with bassist Rudy Sarzo, now with DIO, making it possible for the continuation of the group. Former guitarist Carlos Cavazo has chosen not to participate. Everyone concerned wishes each other continued success.

QUIET RIOT will be releasing their first-ever official live CD, "Quiet Riot Live & Rare", in January 2005 via Cleopatra/Deadline Records. It will include tracks from their 1983 "Metal Health" tour and the 1984 "Condition Critical" tour as well as three rare 1981 "demo" tracks for their "Metal Health" release.

Trouble - Looking for label

O. K.
Here is the latest,
The band is in the middle of negotiations with, to my knowledge
Three different record labels, and its my understanding that they
are bidding on the unplugged CD Along with the Seven CD.
That is playing a big role in why the CD is not available on the site.
On the brite side, If they sell it to one of the labels, you may eventually hear Trouble on the radio.Plus, It will still be available in record stores. So
lets wish them well and hope for the best.

Thanks!
Chad

Dying Fetus - dismissed vocalist

On October 2, Dying Fetus dismissed vocalist Vince Matthews from the band. This action was taken due to a number of musical, professional, and personal reasons that we feel do not need elaboration at this time. However, Vince remains a long-time friend of several Dying Fetus members and we wish him the best of luck in the future. This change will not affect any of our present tour plans. We intend to continue with our current four-piece lineup, and we will handle the vocals accordingly (something we have done many times, as our Canadian fans already know).

Stormlord - New Video Online

The long awaited new horror video of the song "Under The Boards" is finally online!

(WARNING This video contains explicit gore and violence scenes not suitable for people under age of 18)

The story speaks about a psycho/medical serial killer who comes out at night to stalk his victims and then traps them in his clinic of horror: this video is much more similar to a short movie than to a 'normal' videoclip. We won't reveal too much yet, we're eager to shock your minds... just expect the most bloody, disturbing and sick metal video EVER!

the video can be found at: http://www.stormlord.net/new/video2004.html

Napalm Death - The new album title is...

Napalm Death's Barney Greenway (vocals) has sent the following message to the band's fans:

"We are currently in Foel Studios in Mid Wales (the middle of nowhere), which is actually owned by Dave Anderson who was the original bass player for Hawkwind (before Lemmy even), which rocks, of course. Everything is working out really well, and we have tried a few different methods of working here, which have really helped my voice. I am using the microphone as I would live, which helps to really get the full roar going. Guitars are sounding heavy as anything, and as we have given ourselves just about the right time in the studio- as per usual - it helps to keep us on our toes so everything sounds pretty vital. Shane is doing his usual tractor impressions with the bass, which is nice. We're currently at a race to the finish, so everything is starting to shape up properly with the only distraction being the mist that hangs over the valley most mornings...and the sheep! A few titles for you as we chalk 'em off..."Instruments Of Persuasion", "Morale", "Striding Purposefully Backwards", "Climate Controllers", "Sold Short", plus of course the title track "The Code Is Red...Long Live The Code". More later. Cheers."

Napalm Death will be releasing their Century Media Records debut, Leaders Not Followers: Part 2, on October 5th. Fans can expect to see the band late October through November with Cannibal Corpse, Kataklysm, and Goatwhore.

Primordial - New DVD, Album, Karmaggedon issue

well time for a new message, a few words here and there...
firstly thanks to the people who persevered through a very wet and often miserable summer breeze festival to see us on Saturday night before Danzig. the crowd was surely the biggest crowd we have ever played to (6000 + ?...) and although I must admit it wasn't the greatest show we have ever played... Things picked up and you live and learn. Not the worst by any means either !!!!.
apart from that the date for the albums recording looms ominous and we have a lot of work to do. more then we ever did I feel, as regards not only the music but the artwork and a little more pressure on a new label. hopefully it will all do us good and we will rise to the challenge...
as i said before the title is "the gathering wilderness"...
a few people have commented to me about the demo release and karmageddons marketing of it not as a demo from 1993 but confusingly as a new album...well all I can say is what does anyone expect ?. if you knew what I knew about them then it would not be surprising, there really isn't much we can do about that kind of thing anymore. the DVD please remember is not a professional DVD release and take it with the small pinch of salt it was intended. It is a raw 40 mins...please allow for that.
anyways, I'm off to do some more worrying !....
thanks to all the people who made summer breeze in the end something to be salvaged from the fire !!!...
now if you would only stop fucking raining for a while !!!!!
its even depressing me

Jonas Renkse - News on Katatonia and Bloodbath

In an interview to antenna (antenna.nu) the Katatonia and Bloodbath member says that will be working on new Katatonia material: "My plans right now are that we're going to focus on doing the new Katatonia record this winter and hopefully next year play some live shows with Bloodbath which would be awesome but also a lot of touring with Katatonia".

And also talks about the posibility that Bloodbath plays live: "I think now that we've done two full-length album and we heard the recent demands for us playing live. We have been talking about and I think it all comes down to the members different schedules. Every one in the band got other bands but we are definitely going to try our best to play live maybe not a full tour but at least some gigs sometime next year hopefully".
