The complete tracklisting of the new Tiamat's album, entitled "Amanethes", was revealed on the band's MySpace page.
The album was produced by Johan Edlund, recorded mainly at The Mansion in Greece, and additionally recorded at Studio Mega in Sweden and Cue in Greece. The album was mixed and mastered by Siggi Bemm in Woodhouse Studios, Germany in January 2008. "Amanethes" will be release on April 18 via Nuclear Blast Records.

Swedish metallers Soilwork have issued the following statement on their website:

Soilwork, who recently completed the Lamb Of God/Killswitch Engage U.S. tour in support of their new album "Sworn To A Great Divide", have decided to part ways with guitarist Ola Frenning.
It was felt that Ola resisted the demands of the road and found it difficult to come to terms with the amount of touring scheduled.

Sworn To A Great Divide is Soilwork's fastest seller and the live demand for the band is growing. They intend to play everywhere and fulfill the album's potential.

Vocalist Björn "Speed" Strid says: 'It was a very difficult decision to make because Ola has been our friend and bandmate for a very long time'.

The decision will not affect any of Soilwork's plans. Guitarist David Andersson will fill in on their upcoming Finnish/Baltic tour as well as the "Scum Of The Earth" U.S. tour with Throwdown. The band will then tour Australia, Japan and South-East Asia before returning to Europe for festivals and a headlining U.S. tour in the Fall.

Ola Frenning comments: "After 10 years, 7 albums and several world wide tours, we've realised that we have developed in different directions and have a different set of values, profession wise. The disagreements have reached their peak and it has become an untenable situation. The band's solution is that I part ways with them so that I won't be in the way for the future plans of Soilwork.
However, since I'm not gonna be on the road (at least for a while), I will now be able to continue with my songwriting and producing at another level. For further information, visit www.myspace.com/olafrenning. The page will be updated in the near future.

Swedish thrashers Carnal Forge have issued the following update:

"Jari Kuusisto (rythm guitar) & Jens C Mortensen (vocals) have both left the band. We are sorry not to have the guys on board anymore, and we wish them all the best for the future. We want to thank them for all their work and efforts in the band and all the crazy times we've shared through the years... Cheers!!!
The good news is that we have found two new members to replace Jari and Jens. Dino Medanhodzic on lead guitar (Soulbreach) and Peter Tuthill on vocals (ex Construcdead, and also in Godsic). We have been rehearsing for the last month and the transition has gone real smooth, and we are ready to hit the stage again. The first show with the new line up will be in Sala, Sweden on the 23:rd of February at Rockland. In March and April we will team up with brittish thrashers Onslaught for a European tour of 22 shows."

Jari's statement:
"It's with great sadness I must inform you all that I have decided to leave CF. I just feel that my time in CF has come to an end, and I really haven't anything more to offer to the band. It's been great working with the band over these 10 years and I wish the guys the best of luck in the future (Because they deserve it). For those of you that wonder. I will continue with my music carrier but with my other band This Human Design. So hopefully I will see you all again in a near future. Thank you all for the endless support. Jens' statement:
"It is with sadness in my heart I tell you that my time as the voice of CF is over. Long story short; I found myself in a situtation where I had to choose 'tween being the singer of CF and my job/personal life and I chose the latter. "Night Eternal" will be the title of the new Moonspell album. The recording sessions will take place between the 7th and the 31st of January 2008 in Denmark's finest Metal studio, Antfarm. Tue Madsen, who worked with the band on the "Under Satanae project, will be producing Moonspell's new opus. The band has revealed some of their song titles already: 'Shadow Sun', 'Night Eternal' (title track), 'At Tragic Heights', 'Scorpion Flower', 'Spring Of Rage', 'Hers Is The Twilight' among others songs that will take part of this new work. Further into the concept it was disclosed that it refers to the "wear and the tear of the Earth", how we are consuming its energy and its vital force and how it will take its revenge upon us. Memorial's musical line was taken a step further and Night Eternal will be a quite intense album itself, darkly atmospheric yet really heavy and catchy. In Night eternal expect nothing but great guitar riffs, breathtaking songs and epic atmospheres. The exact release date will be announced soon yet the album is coming out in May.

The band adds:
"We are totally enthusiastic and eager to release it and to present it to the fans and hopes to be able to post some songs online on moonspell.com and MySpace.com/moonspell as soon as the promos are ready for the press, around one and a half month before the record is released.
